Chelsea are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain left-back Levin Kurzawa on loan, as the 29-year-old is not currently a supporter at the French club.

Chelsea are eyeing the signing of the left-back this month, with Ben Chilwell set to miss the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury while Lyon have reportedly rejected Chelsea’s offer to pull Emerson Palmieri off his loan to France.

The Blues are also unable to recall left-back Ian Matsen from his loan to Coventry as the Dutchman has overplayed the number of games he has played under the terms of the loan agreement.

The 19-year-old has made 21 appearances in the tournament this season and will remain at Coventry until the end of the season.

Chelsea have now turned their attention to Kurzawa, who has made only one appearance for PSG this season.

The Frenchman was a substitute in the 81st minute in the French Super Cup that Paris Saint-Germain defeated against Lille in August.

Kurzawa worked at Paris Saint-Germain for six and a half years and played under Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel during his tenure at the French club.

The former Monaco defender signed a new four-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain in June 2020 and made 140 appearances for the club, winning 17 titles.
