Raleigh, North Carolina, December 28, 2021 -This holiday season, the family of Green Beret Army 2nd Petty Officer Michael Duskin received the gift of home ownership thanks to PulteGroup’s Built to Honor® program. Gold Star’s wife, Maggie Duskin, was handed the keys to her new home in the Bolt Rutherford community of Fuquay-Farina during a festive event last week.

The two-story, 2,800-square-foot home is fully furnished and included a big holiday surprise: a gift-wrapped Christmas tree underneath that’s set up in their living room, ready to help the Duskins celebrate their first act. The holiday season in the new home.

“It was an honor for our team to build this home for Maggie, and we were thrilled to welcome her in time for the holidays,” said Michael Thompson, Vice President of Construction Operations for Boltgroup’s Raleigh division. “We hope this home becomes the place where the Duskin family will gather and spend quality time together, especially when the family’s two older sons, both active duty Army soldiers, come to visit.”

The house was built in partnership with Operation Coming Home, in honor of the military service and sacrifice of U.S. Army President 2 Michael Duskin. Maggie and her 19-year-old daughter Lexi were first surprised by the news they had secured the home in June. This is the fourth home dedicated to Raleigh by the Built to Honor program and the first for the Gold Star family on the market.

This dedication complements a busy year for the Built to Honor Program, offering seven new mortgage-free homes to deserving veterans in Texas, Florida, Maryland, Minnesota and North Carolina.
