Charlotte, Nick–(work wire) — At a ceremonial event, U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Carl Roche was handed the keys to his new mortgage-free Pulte Home in the Southstone community of Stallings, North Carolina. The home was built and donated through PulteGroup’s Build to Honor® program, which provides the gift of a new home to wounded veterans and their families across the country.
““We are proud to welcome Army Sgt. 1st Class Rush and his family to their new home as a tribute to our gratitude for his service to our country,” said Steve Francis, PulteGroup’s Chief Charlotte Division. “We hope this home will be a source of comfort and many happy memories, starting this holiday season.”
Well-wishers lined the streets of the community, to celebrate the conclusion of the Roach family’s journey into home ownership. This was when SFC Roush, his wife Yu Ya and their daughter toured their completed home for the first time, after work began on the site in May. To the family’s surprise, the two-story, two-story home was furnished with over 2,500 square feet of space.
Customizable in partnership with Building Homes for Heroes, this home is the second home built in honor to be awarded in the greater Charlotte area.
